Syncopacma suecicella

(Wolff, 1958)

Wingspan c.8-9mm.

This species was added to the British list in 1986 by Bob Heckford who discovered larvae in Cornwall on hairy greenweed (Genista pilosa).

Despite attempts to find it elsewhere in the region in suitable habitat where the foodplant grows, it hasn't yet been located beyond its original discovery place.

The larvae feed between spun leaves of the foodplant typically during May and June. Adult moths fly in June and July in a single generation.
