Symmoca signatella
Herrich-Schäffer, 1854
Wingspan 12-15 mm.
A species normally encountered in Continental Europe and North America, there have been two records in the British Isles, one near London docks, and another in Leicestershire. These are presumed to be accidental imports.
Abroad, the species flies during late summer and autumn, and the larvae are believed to feed on dried vegetable matter.
