Swammerdamia caesiella

Wingspan 9-13 mm.
A common species found in heath and woodland throughout the British Isles.
The foodplant is birch (Betula), the larva feeding on the parenchyma on the upperside of a leaf, beneath a silken web.
The adult moth is greyish with a white head, and occurs in two broods, in May and June and again in August.
