Wingspan c. 15mm.
A rather rare and local species, occurring only on the limestone soils of north-western England, in Lancashire, Cumbria and Yorkshire.
The larva feeds on rock-rose (Helianthemum spp.), creating a silken web.
Adult moths are on the wing in May and June, with a possible second generation in August.
