Lace Border Scopula ornata

(Scopoli, 1763)

Wingspan 21-24 mm.

A very attractive species, whose range is reducing, and is now only found locally in the south-east of England.

The moths fly in May and June, then again from late July to September.

The larvae feed on thyme (Thymus) and marjoram (Origanum), those of the second brood overwintering.
