Brown Rustic Rusina ferruginea
(Esper, 1785)
Wingspan 32-40 mm.
Quite common and distributed widely over the British Isles, this moth is sexually dimorphic, the males having broader and squarer forewings than the female, and more feathery antennae.
It frequents woodland and a range of more open habitats, and flies in June and July.
The larvae feed on a number of herbaceous plants, including dock (Rumex).
