Phaneta pauperana

Wingspan 13-17 mm.
An uncommon species, with a distribution in the southern counties of Britain.
It is found on the wing in April and May, in its habitat on rough ground especially chalkland and coastal cliffs.
The larval foodplant is Dog Rose (Rosa canina).
