Dark Spinach Pelurga comitata

Wingspan 25-30 mm.
Fairly common over much of Britain, this moth inhabits suburban habitats, waste ground and similar weedy locations.
It occurs fairly commonly over most of Britain, though it is local in parts.
Single-brooded, it flies in July and August and overwinters in the pupal stage.
The larvae feed on orache (Atriplex) and goosefoot (Chenopodium).
