Green Pug Pasiphila rectangulata - Distribution map
Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.
As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.
In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Green Pug Pasiphila rectangulata
(Linnaeus, 1758)
Wingspan 15-20 mm.
A fairly common but variable species in much of Britain, there are a number of very dark forms, some of which do not show any obvious green coloration.
Its preferred habitats are woodland, parks and gardens, and bushy open places, and it flies in June and July.
The caterpillars feed on the blossoms of apple (Malus) and pear (Pyrus), as well as other fruit trees.
