Pandemis cinnamomeana - Distribution map

Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.

As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.

In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Pandemis cinnamomeana

(Treitschke, 1830)

Wingspan c. 18-24mm.

A relatively local species, occurring in deciduous woodland habitats in England and Wales.

It can resemble Dark Fruit-tree Tortrix Pandemis heparana but there are subtle differences. Males in particular have a whitish forehead.

The larvae feed on the leaves of a range of deciduous trees during May and June.

Adults can be found on the wing from Late June through July, with a second generation in the south, during August and September.
