Nemapogon clematella
(Fabricius, 1781)
Wingspan 12-15 mm.
One of the more distinctive of the Tineidae, this attractive moth is distributed over much of England and Wales, and can be common in places. It has also been recorded in Ireland.
Flying between June and August, the species is fairly readily attracted by bright lights.
The larvae feed on fungus growing on dead branches of various trees, or in rotten wood.
