Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.
As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.
In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Shore Wainscot Mythimna litoralis
(Curtis, 1827)
Wingspan 36-42 mm.
A strictly coastal species, occurring locally in sand dunes around the English and Welsh coastlines, more rarely in Scotland and Ireland.
A quite distinctive moth, with its blackish-bordered white streak along the length of the forewing.
The larvae feed on marram (Ammophila arenaria) during the night, burrowing in the sand to hide by day.
