Luquetia lobella

Wingspan 19 mm.

Distributed in the southern part of England, this species occupies a range of woodland and scrubland habitats.

The nocturnal adults are on the wing during June.

The larvae feed on blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) during autumn and pupate in a silken cocoon amongst leaf-litter. The winter is spent as a pupa.
