White-pinion Spotted Lomographa bimaculata

(Fabricius, 1775)


Wingspan 22-26 mm.

Distributed in southern Britain, north to the Midlands, locally in northern England and in southern Ireland, occupying mainly wooded habitats.

There is one generation, flying in May and June, when it can be attracted to light.

The larvae feed on hawthorn (Crataegus) and blackthorn (Prunus spinosa).
