Isotrias rectifasciana - Distribution map

Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.

As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.

In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Isotrias rectifasciana

(Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan 11-16 mm.

This species is sexually dimorphic, with the males being generally larger and with less distinct forewing markings.

Despite being reasonably frequent in parts of England, and occurring in Wales and Scotland, the life history of the early stages is imperfectly known, though in captivity they have fed on hawthorn (Crataegus).

The adult moths fly in May and June, from dusk onwards.
