Dwarf Cream Wave Idaea fuscovenosa

(Goeze, 1781)

Wingspan 19-22 mm.

Distributed throughout much of England, this species is fairly common in the southern parts, but becomes scarcer further north.

It inhabits open areas of woodland, parks and gardens and other weedy places, and the larvae feed on low-lying plants such as dandelion (Taraxacum).

Single-brooded, the adults are on the wing in June and July.
