Grapholita lunulana

Wingspan 11-17mm.

This moth has a mainly northen distribution in Britain, being found also in the Burren in Ireland and coastal counties in North Wales.

It can be found flying in the sunshine in May and June in a variety of habitats such as hedgerows, rough pasture and hillsides.

The larvae feed on a variety of foodplants including vetches (Vicia spp.).
