Double Dart Graphiphora augur
(Fabricius, 1775)
Wingspan 35-42 mm.
A locally widespread species over much of Britain, but not especially common.
It inhabits woodland, bushy places and grassy areas, and flies in a single generation during June and July.
The larvae feed nocturnally on a number of trees and shrubs, including hawthorn (Crataegus) and blackthorn (Prunus spinosa).
