Euzophera cinerosella

(Zeller, 1839)

Wingspan 23-28 mm.

A species which until fairly recently was found only scarcely in the southern half of England and Wales, but has now extended its range and is occasionally found northwards into Yorkshire.

The larval foodplant is wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), the larvae feeding internally in the roots.

The moths are on the wing from May to August, and can be attracted to light.
