White-line Dart Euxoa tritici - Distribution map

Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.

As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.

In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

White-line Dart Euxoa tritici

(Linnaeus, 1761)

Wingspan 28-40 mm.

Inhabiting sand-hills and heathland, this species is distributed widely over most of the British Isles.

It can be difficult to tell apart from similar species, including Square-spot Dart (E.obelisca) and Coast Dart (E.cursoria).

It flies in July and August, and the larvae feed in spring on a variety of low plants.
