Sharp-angled Carpet Euphyia unangulata
(Haworth, 1809)
Wingspan 25-28 mm.
A species of hedgerows and woodland rides, this moth occurs widely but locally across southern England, Wales and Ireland, being scarcer further north in its range.
It flies in June and July, sometimes into August in favourable seasons.
The caterpillars are not well known in the wild, but in captivity will feed on chickweed (Stellaria spp.).
