Cloaked Carpet Euphyia biangulata
(Haworth, 1809)
Wingspan 25-30 mm.
A local species, occurring sporadically in the south-western counties of England and Wales, and the Isle of Man. It also occurs in southern Ireland.
It prefers woodland margins and hedgerows, and flies in June and July.
The larval foodplants in the wild are not well-documented, but in captivity it can be reared on various chickweeds (Stellaria spp.).
