Eudonia alpina
(Curtis, 1850)
Wingspan c. 20-25mm.
This large, pale Eudonia occurs in the Scottish Highlands, where it can be relatively common in places, as well as at lower elevations on the Shetland and Orkney Islands.
The early stages are not described, but it is believed to feed as a larva on mosses.
Typically the adult moths fly in June and July, sometimes in afternoon sunshine.
