Eidophasia messingiella

Wingspan 14-16mm.

This very distinctive moth is found on wasteland, being closely associated witn its foodplant - hoary cress (Lepidium draba).

It is found locally in England and Wales and can be common in southern England.

It is univoltine, with the moths being attracted to light and flying in in June to July.
