Dichrorampha senectana
Guenée, 1845
Wingspan c. 12-16mm.
A somewhat local species, being found mainly in the southern counties of England and Wales, most frequently in coastal regions.
The larvae, like other Dicrorampha species, feeds in the rootstock of the foodplant, in this case ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare).
The adults, which fly in June, resemble D. plumbagana. In fresh specimens, the darker grey tips to the cilia of the forewings can help distinguish from that species.
