Dichrorampha acuminatana

Wingspan 10-15 mm.

This species at first glance appears rather nondescript but when viewed closely, has a subtle mix of submetallic and chestnut markings.

It occurs fairly commonly throughout most of the British Isles, and occurs on the wing in two generations; firstly in April and May, and then again in August or September.

The larval foodplants are ox-eye daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare) and tansy (Tanacetum vulgare). Like other Dichrorampha species, the larvae burrow into the rootstock and feed within.
