Silver Hook Deltote uncula

Wingspan 20-22 mm.

Occupying marshes, fens and acid bogs, this species has a scattered distribution over much of Britain, but is largely absent from most of central England.

The adults are on the wing from May to July, and can be attracted to light to a certain extent.

The larvae feed in late summer on sedges, including wood-sedge (Carex sylvatica), and grasses.
