Pretty Marbled Deltote deceptoria

(Scopoli, 1763)

Wingspan 23-25 mm.

A rare migrant which was thought to have been possibly resident for a short while in Kent during the mid 20th Century.

Most records are from the south-east of England, during May and June, generally of moths attracted to light-traps.

Abroad, the species occurs in Central Europe and the larvae feed on various grasses including timothy (Phleum pratense)
