The Many-lined Costaconvexa polygrammata
(Borkhausen, 1794)
Wingspan c. 26 mm.
Formerly resident in the fens of East Anglia, this species became extinct as a breeding species in the late 19th century. More recently there have been several records, presumed migrants, generally on the south coast of England and the Channel Islands.
Abroad the species occurs widely in Europe, where the larvae feed on various species of bedstraw (Galium).
There are three generations on the continent, flying from the end of March to April, in June and July, and in August and September.
