Coptotriche angusticollella
(Duponchel, [1843])
[Synonyms: Emmetia angusticolella]Wingspan c.9 mm.
A somewhat local species, occurring in England north to Lancashire and Yorkshire, but rather scarcely.
The larva feeds on rose (Rosa), and like other Coptotriche, produces a pale , papery blotch mine on the upperside of the leaves.
The mine contorts the leaf causing it to fold upwards and often conceal the mine.
Adult moths are on the wing in May and June.
