Wingspan c.12-14mm

Nationally scarce throughout England in hedgerows and heaths.

The larvae live in distinctive cases and mine the leaves of Crataegus (Hawthorn), Malus (Apple), Sorbus (Rowan) and Betula (Birch).

Adults are similar to many others in the genus.
