Cnephasia conspersana

This mainly coastal species is reasonably well-distributed around the British coastline, though less common in Scotland.

The larvae feed on the flowers of a number of different plants of the Rosaceae and Compositae families. During June, they spin the petals together and feed within.

Adult moths appear in July, and are attracted to light, though they can also be disturbed during the day or found resting on fence posts.
