Caryocolum fraternella

(Douglas, 1851)


Wingspan 10-13 mm.

A local species, but distributed over much of England and into southern Scotland, it frequents rough meadows.

The adults fly in July and August.

The larvae feed in the terminal shoots of stitchwort (Stellaria) and common mouse-ear (Cerastium fontanum).
