Bryotropha similis - Distribution map
Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.
As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.
In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Bryotropha similis
(Stainton, 1854)
Wingspan c. 12mm.
A widespread but relatively uncommon species throughout much of mainland Britain, and local in Ireland, this species resembles several other Bryotropha species, in particular B. affinis and B. senectella.
The larvae feed on various mosses growing on walls, during April and May.
From June to August the adult moths are on the wing, and are often attracted to light.
