Bryotropha affinis

Wingspan 11-12 mm.
A fairly common species throughout most of Britain, this moth has a variable paler band, sometimes broken, across the forewing at about 3/4.
The moths are on the wing in June and July, and are a frequent visitor to the light-trap.
The larvae feed on mosses, often on walls during the early part of the year.
