Apotomis lineana - Distribution map
Please note that the NBN Gateway map service has been terminated as of 1 April 2017.
As soon as a replacement map service is available, distribution maps will hopefully appear here again.
In the meantime, you can get some idea of distribution from the NBN Atlas website.

Apotomis lineana
([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)
Wingspan c.18-20 mm.
A local species, distributed widely but scarcely throughout much of southern England and Wales, and extending northwards to Lancashire.
Preferring damper habitats such as river banks, bogs and water meadows, the adults fly mainly in July and August.
The larvae feed on white willow (Salix alba) and crack willow (S. fragilis), spinning two or more leaves together and feeding within.
