Ancylolomia tentaculella

(Hübner, 1796)

Wingspan 30-34 mm.

A southern European species, this quite large and distinctive Crambid has only been recorded in Britain on a handful of occasions, all on the Kent or Essex coast.

On the continent, it tends to fly in June and July, and all the British migrants have turned up either in July or August.

Abroad, the foodplants are the larger grasses.
