Agonopterix yeatiana
(Fabricius, 1781)
Wingspan c. 20mm.
This species has a scattered but widespread distribution over a large part of the British Isles. In Ireland and Scotland it tends to be more coastal.
The adult moths fly from August onwards, and like several other Agonopterix species, hibernate over winter and may be found again during mild spells in spring.
The larvae feed on various umbelliferous plants, including wild carrot (Daucus) and hemlock water-dropwort (Oenanthe crocata).
