Agonopterix conterminella

(Zeller, 1839)


Wingspan 19 mm.

Inhabiting woodlands and marshy places, this moth occurs sporadically throughout England and southern Scotland.

It is found on the wing in August and September, and the larvae, which feed on sallow (Salix), eat away the terminal shoots during May and June.
