Acleris shepherdana
(Stephens, 1852)
Wingspan c. 15mm.
A relatively local and scarce species, occurring in scattered locations, in marshy and fenland habitats, particularly in East Anglia and the southern half of England.
The adult moths are on the wing in August and September and come readily to light, although can be difficult to locate by day.
The foodplant is meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), on which the larvae feed inside spun shoots.
