Aproaerema vinella

(Bankes, 1898)

[Synonyms: Syncopacma vinella]

Wingspan 11-12mm.

Present in Sussex until the last record in 1990. Rediscovered in 2013 on the Isle of Wight.

There are two generations with adults flying from late spring into the autumn.

Larvae feed within a spinning of the shoots of Genista tinctoria (Dyer's Greenweed).
