Grapholita gemmiferana

Treitschke, 1835

[Synonyms: Cydia gemmiferana]

Wingspan c.13-16mm.

A rare species in the British Isles, known only from a couple of locations in Devon and on the Isle of Wight, occupying coastal cliff habitats.

Adult moths fly in May and June, often in sunshine, and the larvae feed on narrow-leaved everlasting-pea (Lathyrus sylvestris), apparently feeding within spun leaves.
