Elachista stabilella

Wingspan 7-8 mm.

A tiny moth, with a wingspan of only around 7mm, the females are somewhat darker on the forewing than the males.

Distributed mainly in southern England and south Wales, there are two generations with flight periods in May and June and again from July to August.

Like many other Elachistidae, the larvae mine various types of grasses.
