Beech-green Carpet Colostygia olivata

Wingspan 22-27 mm.

A predominantly northern species, occurring reasonably commonly in Scotland, north Wales and northern England, but scarce in the south.

It occurs in woodland, chalk or limestone downland and coastal cliffs, and has one brood which flies in July and August.

The larval foodplant is bedstraw (Galium).
