Barred Yellow Cidaria fulvata

Wingspan 20-25 mm.

A smallish, brightly-coloured species which is widely distributed throughout Britain, but usually local.

It prefers woodland, chalk downland and scrubland, and the larvae feed on the leaves of dog rose (Rosa canina).

The adults fly in June and July.
