Ruddy Carpet Catarhoe rubidata

Wingspan 26-31 mm.

An uncommon species, found locally in the southern parts of England and Wales.

It occupies open woodland, scrubland, downland and sea-cliffs, and flies mainly in June and July.

The larvae feed mainly on bedstraw (Galium).
