Ancylis badiana

([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan 12-16 mm.

Two generations of this moth occur during the year, the first in April and May, and later from July to August.

It is active in the late afternoon into the evening, and inhabits a range of woodland and open ground biotopes.

The larvae feed on the leaves of pea (Lathyrus), vetch (Vicia) and clover (Trifolium). The second generation larvae overwinter in a state of diapause.
