The Rustic Hoplodrina blanda

([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan 31-35 mm.

Very similar to The Uncertain (H. alsines), differences are mentioned under that species.

The distribution is similar to that of alsines, being common throughout much of England and Wales, and less so in Scotland.

Flying from June to August, sometimes there is a second generation in the south, in October.

Foodplants are very similar to those of alsines, being a variety of low plants.
