(Linnaeus, 1767)

Wingspan 22-25 mm.

A central and eastern European species which has occurred only once in the British Isles, in West Sussex in 1876.

The moth flies during the daytime and occurs as an adult during July and August.

The larvae feed on moss and the leaves of herbs and young trees.
