833 Caryocolum junctella

This rather local species occurs in parts of England and northern Scotland, although being very similar to other Caryocolum species, its complete distribution is not fully known.
Adult moths fly from July onwards, and hibernates over winter, flying again in the spring.
The larva feed on mouse-ear (Cerastium) and lesser stitchwort (Stellaria gramina) in Britain, although on the continent a number of other foodplants are used.
